About

Technology so that talented people can be more talented.

Talent is not the scarce resource. What's scarce is the time and energy a talented person gets to spend on the thing they're actually good at.

A contractor who can build anything stalls because nobody taught him marketing. A baker whose cookies are the best in the county never sells one, because the accounting frightens her. Neither of those is a talent problem.

What we believe

It's rarely the person. It's almost always the process.

Good people fail inside bad systems every day, and almost none of them realise that's what happened. Change the system and the same person, on the same Tuesday, produces something different. We help good people and good teams become great ones by fixing what surrounds them — not by replacing them.

How we work

Six things we hold to, including when they cost us.

01

Show the math

Anything we recommend, you should be able to check. If a number can't be traced to a line of reasoning, it isn't a number — it's a pitch. The model on this site works the same way: it will tell you when not to do the deal.

02

Measured, then built

Every piece of work gets a way to prove it worked and a way to detect it isn't. We'd rather find out early and stop than defend something because we built it.

03

The craft is the point

We exist so that people who are excellent at something get to spend more of their time being excellent at it. Everything else is overhead we're here to take.

04

Same instrument, same outcome

We hold what you hold. That's not a gesture — it's the only structure where our advice can't quietly serve us at your expense.

05

No clock

There's no fund maturity, no exit date, no moment when the incentive flips to selling. Permanence is the default. Every exit door is priced before anyone needs it.

06

Yours stays yours

You own your data and your business's brain; we own the engine that makes them valuable. If we ever part ways, the terms were settled long before — and both sides leave better than they started.

Straight answers

Sometimes the most useful thing we can tell you is that you don't need us.

We would rather lose an engagement than win one that shouldn't happen. When we do take something on, you get the real number and the real trade-off — including the parts that don't flatter us, and including the times we get it wrong. You should never have to wonder whether you're being sold to.

What we are not

The clearest way to explain a model is to name what it isn't.

Not an agency

Agencies are paid for scope. Their model requires the next project, whether or not the last one changed anything.

Not a consultancy

A recommendation you can't execute is a cost, not a strategy. We build the thing.

Not private equity

PE arrives with a fund clock and leaves on it. The business gets optimised for a sale date rather than for its own life.

Not a staffing firm

We're not filling a seat with hours. We're closing a function and leaving a system behind.

We're deliberately picky. So should you be.

Flywheels come from great relationships, and a single bad one does damage well beyond its own reach. That's why fit comes before scope in every conversation we have — and why we look for people who think in reciprocal value, because everything else here depends on it.
